Ashwater is perfectly placed to enjoy a variety of wonderful outdoor pastimes for all the family.

Horse Riding
 
Ashwater is fantastically positioned for hacking both on and off road in forest and field. Only 20 minutes from the beach at Bude and 30 from Dartmoor. In between 3 hunt countries, Lamerton, South Tetcott and Tetcott with some spectacular views.
 
The Grange equestrian centre is based in Okehampton, some six miles distant.
 
Southcott cross country course just outside Winkleigh is also just over 20 miles away with 280 acres of fabulously maintained jumps from 1'6" to 3'9", recommended by H&H - click here.
 Fishing, sailing and watersports
 
are only 10 minutes away at the stunning and picturesque Roadford Lake.


At just under 30 minutes away is Bude is home to several sandy beaches and breathtaking views over the Atlantic.


Shopping
Get bargain high street and designer labels at Atlantic Village on the outskirts of Bideford, just over 50 minutes away for fabulous indoor shopping and entertainment for younger children.

The village shop and Post Office located next to the Parish Hall stocks a wide range of local food and produce and is open seven days a week. This is a community run enterprise with all proceeds being reinvested in the shop. 

Recreational Activities
There are golf courses at Holsworthy and Launceston.
